The company will start interactive content service in California, targeting ethnic Koreans and Asians familiar with Korean pop culture, and then extend the service area across the nation.
California has large populations of ethnic Koreans and Asians and there is an enormous demand for Korean broadcasting contents, according to Posdata. In the beginning, the company will focus on TV series, entertainment programs and movies, and then gradually increase the proportion of TV shopping, VoIP, online education, Karaoke, game and other services.
The company will also develop solutions for mobile IPTV combining IPTV with Mobile WiMAX targeting the commercial market.
To facilitate the US operation, Posdata will establish a joint venture with Celrun and Acanet TV and become a majority shareholder. To ensure reliable supply of contents, the company will partner with local partners having a strong marketing network in the Korean community as well as content providers.
